In The Beginning
Growing up in the northern Colorado community, Taylor greatly enjoyed working for his dad’s local landscaping and fish hatchery companies. He loved the hard, physical work, getting to connect with customers and know their stories, and serving the community he grew up a part of. When Taylor found out that he was having a son of his own, he felt motivated to get back to this type of work. He started Hagen’s Junk Removal in hopes of modeling hard work and taking care of customers within the community to his son, just as his dad had done for him.
Having been a first-grade teacher for eight years, Kristin was used to passionately working within the Northern Colorado area. Like Taylor, she was also excited to start a small business that would allow the entire Hagen family to connect with customers and be a positive business presence within their local community. Together, Kristin and Taylor worked up a vision for how their junk removal business would run and what positive values it would follow. One month after their first son was born, they put their plans into action and worked through sleepless, newborn nights to start their company.
One Year Later
Hagen’s Junk Removal started out as a one-truck operation running out of the basement office of Taylor and Kristin’s home, and in the first year grew tremendously. In the first year of business, we were able to add a second truck and team in order to serve more customers within our northern Colorado community. We were also able to offer two full-time employment opportunities to technicians who are wonderful Fort Collins community members and excellent additions to our junk removal team!
Hagen’s Junk Removal in 2022
Since starting, our family-owned business has grown into a three truck operation. We now have both full and part-time employees that all live in and positively contribute to our local community. Additionally, we now have both 2WD and 4WD specialty junk removal vehicles in our fleet, allowing us to provide junk removal services to our northern Colorado neighbors regardless of the weather. We have developed great connections with local donation sites and community organizations, which has allowed us to find wonderful second chances for many unwanted items we collect. We absolutely love the work we do within the community, and we are excited to continue to grow and serve more of our Fort Collins and northern Colorado community in the years to come!

A+++ ! I put in an online request for service and was immediately reached out to (within minutes!). They were able to help us out the next day! We had 3 storage units with trash, pallets and cardboard from a clothing business that had been piling up for months. The guys were very friendly, courteous, communicated appropriately and did an amazing job! The price was lower than anyone else in town and the job was down efficiently and quickly. These guys are outstanding! All around five star experience. The Hagen’s team is prompt, courteous, professional, communicative, and efficient. They arrived on time, explained their pricing structure clearly before beginning any work, and then completed the job quicker and more smoothly than any movers I’ve ever worked with — and I have moved a LOT. We had reached out to Hagen's Junk Removal and a few other junk removal companies to provide a bid to remove items that had been accumulating in our garage for over 40+ years. The bid we received from Hagen's was the most reasonable quote we received for the amount of work that needed to be done.The day of the removal Jake Green and his associate arrived on time and finished in less the amount of time they had quoted.Jake was extremely respectful to our requests to leave certain items and made sure we did a walk through after they were done.I would recommend this company to anyone who needs this type of service.

Said and Jake from Hagen’s did a really excellent job taking care of some old appliances for me! They were kind, communicative and efficient. I also really love that this company is local, family owned, and has a really user friendly website that is very informative and allows for online scheduling. I went on the internet on a Sunday to find a company that does furniture removal. I found a web site for Hagen’s Junk Removal. I set up an appointment with them to get an estimate to remove a 3 piece sectional couch. I found a schedule of available times to get the work done and Monday was available. Jake and Said were the employees that came to my house. They were on time and very proficient in their work. They did an excellent job and I would recommend them any time. The price was very reasonable and we are very pleased with the company and their employees.

This was a super easy service to schedule. Pricing was clear and reasonable. The young men - Taylor, Said, Jake, and ?, were fast and thorough. On the second load, a nest of garter snakes was discovered and they were careful to let the youngsters get out of the way! The garter family and I appreciated the care.

We had a great experience with Hagens Junk removal! We scheduled a time for a free estimate with no obligation which was helpful. When they arrived the next day, they were efficient in giving us a fair quote, loading the rubbish, and hauling it away. They even took away extra items (a big trampoline!) we weren’t originally going to include - for no extra charged! Not only were the team members that came out super friendly and professional, but they went above and beyond in making sure the job was complete and we were so appreciative for the extra effort they put in. Highly recommend this company!

This company serves the Red Feather Lakes area! The two young men that came to help us that day sure made our work load lighter. They cleaned up all the junk we needed removed from closing out a property. And they were able to accept electronic recycle materials. Communication and customer service was excellent. This is my first time using Hagen's. I loved they are a locally owned family business. I needed a couch removed. I received a text and email confirming the appointment, I received a phone call during the 2 hour time window confirming they were on their way. 2 kind, professional able bodied men showed up on time and efficiently removed the item at a fair price. We highly recommend Hagen's Junk Removal because their work was outstanding in every way. Their website was extremely helpful and it provided enough detailed information that we did not need to call the company to ask questions. We scheduled a pickup date and time, and the entire process went very smoothly. Jake and Said telephoned us before arriving, were on time, and completed their work quickly and efficiently. They were highly professional and very polite. They took the time to carefully listen to our explanations of which items were probably reusable and which were not worth saving. Hagen's services are not inexpensive but they excel in every way from start to finish, and the convenience of having them do all that work so completely and so quickly, was well worth the cost.

They are the best!! From the first phone call with questions and setting up the appointment to them driving off, everyone we delt with was professional and kind. We had an old hot tub that they cut apart and loaded on their truck along with a few other items. They did it all in about 40 minutes (2-man crew)! Prices were reasonable and fair. We will definitely be recommending them and will use them again!

Hagen's Junk Removal came to our property to remove a large "shed" that was actually more equivalent to a small building structure. They were very prompt in their response to our request, quickly came to provide an estimate, and quickly set up a time to remove this structure. They did an excellent job of communicating the process of this project. They showed up on time and quickly finished this project, under the estimated time. This project was accomplished at the Fort Collins Rescue Mission and the Hagen Team was very professional around our guests, careful of the existing facility, and did an exceptional job of cleaning up after they were finished. I would highly recommend them for any small or large removal needs you have.

We needed help removing an old water heater from our unfinished basement. I called several junk removal companies to get quotes, and was impressed with Hagen’s professional response. They took the time to ask questions to make sure they understood specifics instead of simply tossing out a quote. They were competitive and I trusted their process. It was easy to schedule the appointment online, and I appreciated the automated text confirmation and timely reminders they sent beforehand. Their team was on-time, and even called en route to let us know they were on their way. Jake and Sayid were very friendly and polite! After introducing themselves they made sure we understood the fee before they got started. The old appliance was removed in record time! 7/23/22Hagen’s junk removal, specifically Woody and Sayid, made this experience so easy for us. I truly can’t speak enough on their communication and thought throughout the process. They came out took everything I wanted gone in less than 20 minutes, were very respectful of my home and super kind to my dogs. Hagen's was fantastic to work with, they were flexible with the eviction process, basically cleaning out the unit once, then returning the next day to load and haul it away! Unbelievable service. I'm 70 years old and Hagens Junk Removal is a throw back to bygone eras when customer service, character and reliability were essential. Nowadays, when all is said and done... there's a lot more said than done.Taylor and Chrissy are special people. They delivered on their promises and extended themselves to accommodate our special requests.Bargain pricing -- in my view.Employees were sharp, clean, capable and mannerly.When I move a refrigerator, afterward I look disheveled. We had a side yard that we kept filling with junk. Kids got new beds, old ones went to the side yard. Needed to replace things in the motor home and the old stuff went in the side yard. Anything we wanted to get rid off landed there.This company did great. Was upfront on pricing in person and prices are listed on the website. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate. Communication was great, always kept me informed, and let me know when they were on the way. They were very professional and got the job done quick. The best thing was we didn’t have to load anything. We would definitely use this company again!!
